Tall Blacks and Boomers impress at World Cup

After a week of World Cup Basketball one thing is clear. Both NZ and Australia deserve to be there. The Boomers have 2 wins from 2 games, and the Tall Blacks beat Montenegro after a close loss to Brazil. Basketball down under is getting the recognition it deserves and nobody from Europe, Americas or Africa can complain about the Oceania representation.

It’s an exciting time to be a basketball fan in this part of the world. When you consider the likes of Ben Simmons, Jonah Bolden, Dante Exum, Steven Adams, Ryan Brockhof and Thon Maker being unavailable, you appreciate the performances of these teams even more. No matter how they fare during the knockout stages, I’ve been impressed by the players and coaches of both NZ and Australia.
